This holiday season, our Inclusive Learning students in the Transition to College programme are showcasing the true spirit of community and compassion. They’ve organised a Community Food Drive to support those most in need during the winter months, proving once again that small actions can make a big difference.
What’s Happening?
The Community Food Drive will run until 11th December 2024, with collection boxes conveniently located in the Inclusive Learning Hub at the Clapham Common Campus (Ground floor: S Block).
The students are gathering non-perishable food, toys, books, and clothes, all of which will be donated to help the homeless and vulnerable during the colder season.
Why This Matters
The holiday season can be a particularly challenging time for individuals and families experiencing hardship. By collecting essential items, our students are making a meaningful impact, ensuring that no one is forgotten during this season of giving.
A Special Thanks
This initiative would not have been possible without the leadership and dedication of Samuel Richards, an inspiring student who took it upon himself to organize and promote this project. Samuel’s efforts, combined with the enthusiasm of his peers, highlight the values of teamwork and empathy that we nurture in our students.
How You Can Help
We’re calling on everyone in our college community—students and staff—to join this effort. Here’s how you can contribute:
- Donate: Bring non-perishable food, toys, books, or clothes to the collection boxes in the Inclusive Learning Hub.
- Spread the Word: Share this initiative with your friends, family, and on social media to help amplify the cause.
- Show Your Support: Even small contributions can make a big difference. Every item counts.
Together, let’s help our students make this initiative a success and bring a little light to those in need this winter.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Let’s make this a season of giving and care!
